If you love animals, volunteer with the Eileen Hawthorne Fund! Give a little or a lot, as your time allows. It's fun and it's good for your soul.

We have a variety of volunteer opportunities to meet your interests and availability:

• Community Outreach - For special events, we set up tables at specified locations in Fort Bragg and Mendocino.  This is an opportunity to meet and greet our neighbors. We distribute information and raise funds. We do this multiple ways: with gifts offered for donation such as totes and notecards, special events, and donation cans.

• Newsletter Support - The Eileen Hawthorne Fund sends out a newsletter twice a year. We need volunteers to help fold and prepare newsletters for the mail. We enjoy getting together with others that care so much about animals in a relaxed and social atmosphere.  

• Educational Programs - We visit local classrooms annually to help the students of our community understand responsible pet ownership. Our experience is that these children will take better care of animals and thus help to educate their families. They also learn the importance of spaying and neutering their pets. 

• Board of Directors - We need to grow our board of directors. If you are interested in helping animals, we welcome your input and participation. Come to a board meeting to learn more about us.
